There is nothing to take it’s place.
Not even with talent, can you make a case.
In this world, it’s a common sight,
To have all the talent without the fight.
The brains of a genius, is that what it takes?
It would be nice, little chance for mistakes.
but look about, and you will see
“Un-rewarded genius”, a proverb, be.
Education, is that the way?
It is important, better start today.
But be forewarned, you’ll see all around,
Educated derelicts, a penny a pound.
The most important ingredient in winning, you’ll see,
Is that of persistence, that’s the key.
Don’t ever give up, if you wish to rise.
Persistence, more than anything, will win you the prize.
